{"id":84,"date":"2020-02-19T08:22:53","date_gmt":"2020-02-19T08:22:53","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/localhost\/holci\/?page_id=84"},"modified":"2020-02-26T14:06:51","modified_gmt":"2020-02-26T14:06:51","slug":"childrens","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/holci.org\/index.php\/childrens\/","title":{"rendered":"Childrens"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h4><strong>THE MISSION OF CHILDREN\u2019S MINISTRY<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>The mission of Children\u2019s Ministry to partner with parents in teaching kids to know, love and serve Jesus Christ.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Each Sunday children have the opportunity to dive into God\u2019s Word as they are taught a Bible lesson in a fun and age appropriate way, do an array of activities and most importantly learn about Jesus and His love for them!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During both our 9 am and 11 am services on Sunday\u2019s our Children\u2019s Ministry team serves children from birth through grade 5 in the following groups:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Nursery- birth through 23 months.<\/li><li>Toddlers- 24 months through age 3.<\/li><li>Preschool- age 4 through Kindergarten.<\/li><li>Rock Solid- grade 1 through grade 5.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4><strong>COMMUNICATION<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>All concerns or questions regarding Children\u2019s Ministry (CM) should be directed to the CM leader and second to the Senior Pastor.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4><strong>RESPECT AND CONFIDENTIALITY<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Personal information regarding families, children, parents and workers will be kept in confidence.<\/li><li>Personal information regarding workers (i.e. application and background checks) will be kept at the church office in a secure location.<\/li><li>All workers involved in childcare will demonstrate respect and kindness at all times.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4><strong>HOURS OF OPERATION<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>9h00 \u2013 15h00<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4><strong>VOLUNTEERS<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Primary teachers must be 18 years of age or older.<\/li><li>Teacher assistants must be in grade 7 or older.<\/li><li>Junior helpers must be in grade 3 or older and may only help in a class alongside their parent. Junior helpers are not to be left alone in the classroom with the children.<\/li><li>Be a member of HOLCI Community Church.<\/li><li>Complete a background check.<\/li><li>Show confidence in managing children.<\/li><li>Be aware and\/or prepared for children with special needs (e.g. autism, allergies, ADD).<\/li><li>Communicate positively and effectively with parents.<\/li><li>Keep required records.<\/li><li>Attend to children at all times.<\/li><li>Be responsible for set up and clean up.<\/li><li>Be physically capable to care for children (bend, kneel, lift, etc.).<\/li><li>Understand the importance of health, safety and security issues.<\/li><\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>THE MISSION OF CHILDREN\u2019S MINISTRY The mission of Children\u2019s Ministry to partner with parents in teaching kids to know, love and serve Jesus Christ.
